Mediterranean food,
cooked over wood,

The restaurant

On the water, at the mouth of the marina

Navaya is built around two rooms: a bright, quiet dining room inside, and a long terrace that sits directly above the rocks, looking out across the bay towards La Concha.

It works as easily for eggs and coffee at ten in the morning as it does for a tomahawk and a bottle of Ribera at ten at night. Same room, same kitchen, different hour.

The food

Seafood, rice and fire

The kitchen leans on what the coast does best — prawns, octopus, whole sea bass, bluefin tuna — with five rices and paellas and a wood-fired oven that handles everything from Padrón peppers to a 700 g tomahawk.

Every paella is started when you order it

Which means about thirty minutes, and a pan that arrives at the table still catching at the edges. Seafood, squid ink, Iberian pork and mushroom, pork rib and artichoke, or garden vegetables. Minimum two people, as it should be.

Everything else — the steaks, the whole sea bass, the ribs, the vegetables — goes through the wood-fired oven. Ask the team what came in from the market and the fish auction that morning.

Five minutes from the yachts, right on the water

Navaya is on Plaza de Benabola, at the western end of Puerto Banús where the marina meets the beach. The terrace faces due south: sun through lunch, and the sunset over the water from most tables.
